Permanent makeup is a popular procedure due to its aesthetic long-lasting. But sometimes, there may be necessary correction or removal of Permanent MakeUp for a variety of reasons, such as changing fashion trends, poor execution or colour changes. * Results from Laser Skin Resurfacing can last for several months to several years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and post-treatment care. With proper skincare and sun protection, the results are long-lasting, and skin will continue to improve over time as collagen production increases.

How does Permanent MakeUp Removal work?

The process of Permanent MakeUp Removal for eyebrows starts with a comprehensive consultation in which our specialist analyses the state of the permanent makeup and  determines the colour and intensity of the pigment. After that, a numbing lotion is applied to the eyebrows to optimise comfort throughout the process. After that, the skin is cleansed and treated to reduce the possibility of infection. During the procedure we use a laser, which targets the pigment under the skin.

The pigment is broken down into tiny bits by the laser beam, which the body eventually gets rid of naturally. Depending on the pigment’s intensity, the process takes 15 to 30 minutes. After the procedure, the client receives skincare advice, which includes the necessity of avoiding sun exposure and using sunscreen with a high SPF.

Contraindications for the Procedure
Increased Skin Sensitivity

People who have conditions that cause sensitivity to light, or who take medications that increase photosensitivity (such as certain antibiotics, retinoids, or chemotherapy drugs), should avoid laser treatments as they can experience heightened skin reactions. Since this procedure targets a small area (eyebrows), those with milder photosensitivity may still be candidates, but it should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Pregnancy and Lactation

Laser treatments are generally not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as the effects on the baby are not fully studied.

Active Infections or Inflammation

It is contraindicated to have active infections or inflammatory processes in the treatment region.

Usage of Aggressive Medications or Retinoids

Retinoids and other aggressive skincare treatments should be stopped several weeks before the procedures, because they can exacerbate skin sensitivity. After the procedure retinoids should not be reintroduced for a few days to allow proper healing.

Propensity to Form Scars

Carbon Laser Peel should be avoided by people who are prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring, as the process may cause the production of new scars.

Recent Sun Exposure

Tanned or sunburned skin is more sensitive and can react poorly to the laser. It’s recommended to avoid the procedure if you’ve had significant sun exposure in the last 2–4 weeks.

Skin Infections and Open Wounds

Carbon Laser Peel is not recommended for anyone with any infections, wounds, cuts, or skin damage because these conditions could worsen the treatment.

Immunosuppressive Medications or Conditions

Patients with compromised immune systems due to conditions such as HIV, or those on immunosuppressive medications (e.g., corticosteroids), may experience delayed healing or an increased risk of infection following the procedure. A specialist should evaluate the risks on a case-by-case basis.

Bleeding Disorders

People who take blood thinners (such as aspirin or warfarin) or have blood clotting or bleeding disorders should exercise caution because these diseases can impair the skin’s ability to recover.

Current Cosmetic Procedure

Before having laser treatment, patients who have recently had other cosmetic procedures (such as chemical peels or dermabrasions) should wait until the skin has completely healed.

Allergies to Anesthetics

Since numbing cream is often used during the procedure, people with known allergies to topical anaesthetics should inform the specialist.

Tattoo Infections

If the original eyebrow tattoo caused an infection or other complications, it might affect the outcome of the removal procedure. It’s important to assess the area to ensure it is fully healed before proceeding.

Recent Laser Procedures

If the client has undergone another type of laser treatment near the eyebrow area, they should wait until the skin has fully healed to avoid complications.

Age Restriction

Permanent MakeUp Removal is only available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Minors are not eligible for the procedure, as hormonal changes during adolescence can affect hair growth and reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

The procedure may cause some discomfort, but we can use numbing lotion to reduce pain if it's needed. Patients describe the sensation as light snapping or tingling. but generally well-tolerated,.

Permanent eyebrow makeup can usually be completely removed using laser treatment. But outcomes have affected the colour, level of pigmentation, and type of skin of the patient. A tiny trace might still exist, but this is rare.

Permanent eyebrow makeup removal using a laser is a very minimally invasive process with very little chance of scarring. Before the procedure, patients who are at risk of developing keloid development should speak with our specialist about this.

We advised to wait until the skin has completely healed before getting any other cosmetic procedures in the brow area, such as chemical peels or microblading.

Redness, swelling, or mild skin colour changes are examples of possible short-term side effects; but these symptoms typically go away a few days after the procedure.
