How does Laser Carbon
Laser Peel work?

The first step in the Carbon Laser Peel procedure is cleaning the skin to get rid of excess oil, makeup and impurities. After cleansing skin is treated with a thin layer of special carbon gel. This gel’s, made from activated charcoal, deep pore penetration helps it to absorb dead skin cells, pollutants and excess oil. Similar to a “magnet,” it pulls harmful elements from the skin’s outermost layers as well as its deeper layers. After the gel’s drying process, our specialist uses a laser to heat and activate the carbon particles, eliminating impurities and dead skin cells in the process.
In addition, the deep exfoliation impact of the laser action stimulates skin renewal, removes the outer layer of skin and cleanses the pores. Furthermore, the laser increases the creation of collagen, which reduces pore size, improves skin firmness, and lessens wrinkles and fine lines. As a result skin seems younger, smoother, and more luminous. After the procedure, the skin is treated with calming and hydrating products in addition to sunscreen to prevent UV ray exposure. The procedure is painless and requires no downtime, allowing the patient to immediately return to their daily activities.

Consultation with a specialist
Before starting the procedure we advise to have a consultation with our specialist, who will analyse your skin condition and determine the best locations for treatment.
Keep Your Skin Hydrated
Prior to the procedure, it’s critical to keep your skin well hydrated. Make sure you apply your usual moisturiser and stay hydrated.
Avoid Sun Exposure
For at least 2 weeks before the procedure, it is important to avoid both direct sun exposure and tanning (both natural and artificial). Skin that has been sunburned or tanned may be more susceptible to problems.
Stop Using Specific Skincare Products
At least a week before the treatment, stop using any products that contain acids (such as glycolic or salicylic acid), retinoids, or powerful exfoliants. These may increase the sensitivity of your skin to lasers.
Avoid Certain Medications
Unless directed by a physician, blood-thinning medications such as aspirin and anti-inflammatory drugs should be avoided a few days before the procedures.

Hydration
Use calming and moisturising cosmetics on the skin. This will improve the procedure’s effectiveness and help keep the moisture level of your skin.
Avoid clear heat treatments
Saunas, hot baths and other treatments that could result in skin overheating should be avoided for a 2 days after the procedure
Avoid the sun
Use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and avoid direct sunlight for the next 2 weeks after your treatment.
Steer clear of heat treatments
To prevent overheating of the skin, stay out of hot baths, saunas, hot tubs and physical activity for 48 hours following your treatment.
Do not apply make-up
Patients should avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours post-treatment to allow the skin to recover.
Schedule your next session
Make your next appointment in 1-2 weeks if you think you’ll benefit most from repeated Carbon Laser Peel.sessions.

Contraindications for the Procedure
Increased Skin Sensitivity
People who have conditions that cause sensitivity to light, or who take medications that increase photosensitivity (such as certain antibiotics, retinoids, or chemotherapy drugs), should avoid laser treatments as they can experience heightened skin reactions. Also individuals with conditions like lupus or porphyria (which cause light sensitivity) should avoid this treatment.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Laser treatments are generally not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as the effects on the baby are not fully studied.
Active Infections or Inflammation
It is contraindicated to have active infections or inflammatory processes in the treatment region.
Usage of Aggressive Medications or Retinoids
Retinoids and other aggressive skincare treatments should be stopped several weeks before the procedures, because they can exacerbate skin sensitivity. After the procedure retinoids should not be reintroduced for a few days to allow proper healing.
Propensity to Form Scars
Carbon Laser Peel should be avoided by people who are prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring, as the process may cause the production of new scars.
Recent Sun Exposure
Tanned or sunburned skin is more sensitive and can react poorly to the laser. It’s recommended to avoid the procedure if you’ve had significant sun exposure in the last 2–4 weeks.
Skin Infections and Open Wounds
Carbon Laser Peel is not recommended for anyone with any infections, wounds, cuts, or skin damage because these conditions could worsen the treatment.
Immunosuppressive Medications or Conditions
Patients with compromised immune systems, whether from HIV or corticosteroids, may have difficulties healing after procedure or experience delayed healing.
Bleeding Disorders
People who take blood thinners (such as aspirin or warfarin) or have blood clotting or bleeding disorders should exercise caution because these diseases can impair the skin’s ability to recover.
History of Skin Cancer or Precancerous Lesions
To make sure laser treatments are safe for you, discuss any history of skin cancer or precancerous lesions with your specialist before beginning any treatment.
Herpes Simplex Virus (Cold Sores)
Patients with a history of herpes simplex (cold sores) in the treatment area should inform our specialist, as the laser could potentially trigger an outbreak. Prophylactic antiviral treatment may be necessary.
Age Restriction
Carbon Laser Peel is only available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Minors are not eligible for the procedure, as hormonal changes during adolescence can affect hair growth and reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
