How does Microdermabrasion work?
Microdermabrasion works on specialist instruments that use microcrystals or a wand with a diamond tip to mechanically exfoliate the top layer of the skin and gently remove dead skin cells. This stimulates the skin’s natural regeneration processes and assists in the removal of dullness and uneven texture, and generally improving the overall appearance and health of your skin.
In addition to improving the skin’s firmness and elasticity, Microdermabrasion also stimulates the creation of collagen, which reduces fine lines and other indications of ageing. The device produces a mild vacuum by enhancing blood flow, oxygenating cells and assisting in the removal of pollutants from pores that leaves the skin cleaner and healthier.

Preparation
Consultation with a specialist
Before starting the procedure we advise to have a consultation with our specialist, who will analyse your skin condition and determine the best locations for treatment.
Avoid suntan
Refrain from sun exposure and tanning beds 2-4 weeks before the procedures. Because the light targets pigmented parts of the skin, tanning increases the risk of burns or pigmentation during IPL treatment.
Arrive skin-clean
Don’t apply moisturisers, makeup, perfumes or any other products on the regions that will be treated on the day of your treatment.
Avoid clear or harsh treatments
Don`t do peelings, laser treatments and other harsh skin care procedures one week before the procedure.
Aftercare
Hydration
Use calming and moisturising cosmetics on the skin. This will improve the procedure’s effectiveness and help keep the moisture level of your skin.
Avoid the sun
Use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and avoid direct sunlight for the next two to four weeks after your treatment.
Steer clear of heat treatments
To prevent overheating of the skin, stay out of hot baths, saunas, hot tubs and physical activity for 48 hours following your treatment.
Calming the Skin
Your skin may feel irritated and red after the peel. Use items that are soft and calming, including aloe vera or certain moisturising creams that your cosmetologist recommended.
Avoiding active ingredients
Retinoids, acids, and other strong products that could irritate the skin should not be used for a week after the peel.
Avoid mechanical impact
Avoid touching your skin with your hands or removing any possible flaking that may come off after the procedure. Infections or scars may result from this.
We work in a personalised way with Your Needs
Every treatment is customised to suit your unique needs for the best experiences and outcomes. We offer you individual consultation with our Specialist to explore the best treatment options.
Active Acne: Chemical peels should be avoided by patients who have severe forms of acne or skin inflammation, as they can worsen their disease.
Herpes: A chemical peel may cause a recurrence if you are prone to frequent flare-ups or currently have an active breakout of the disease.
Dermatitis, Eczema, Psoriasis: Patients who have active forms of this illness may find that their symptoms intensify following a peel.
Current Skin Care Procedures
Laser treatments or other aggressive cosmetic procedures: after these pörocedure the skin needs time to heal before a chemical peel may be applied.
Chemical Peels: After chemical peels, the skin may be sensitive, so it is advisable to wait until it has fully recovered.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Certain chemical peels could contain substances that are not advised to be consumed when nursing or pregnant.
Usage of Aggressive Medications or Retinoids
Retinoids and other aggressive skincare treatments should be stopped several weeks before the procedures, because they can exacerbate skin sensitivity.
Propensity to Form Scars
Chemical peels should be avoided by people who are prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring, as the process may cause the production of new scars.
Recent Sun Exposure
Your skin can be too sensitive for a chemical peel if it has been exposed to prolonged sun exposure or tanning. It is advised not to tan for a few weeks before the treatment.
Age Restriction
Microdermabrasion is only available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Minors are not eligible for the procedure, as hormonal changes during adolescence can affect hair growth and reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.

Microdermabrasion is suitable for the majority of skin types, including sensitive skin. Those with extremely thin skin or those with active skin diseases should speak with a specialist about the procedure.
Following microdermabrasion, recovery is typically rather short. You can have a little redness or peeling, but you can usually get back to your regular activities rather quickly.
